REVEAL: La Box Spring Edition
Those who know me know that Spring is my favorite season, because of the idea of renouveau (renewal) it embodies. That’s why I may have poured some extra love into La Box Spring Edition…
March is a beautiful month in Provence where nature slowly awakes. The first flowers start to bloom on the trees. Life in the villages is looking more active. March being Women’s History Month in the U.S., I also made sure each item was a nod to our collective femininity and womanhood. Because whether it’s by highlighting female artisans in our boxes or by inviting to a moment of self-care, supporting women is an important value to us that we want to honor in everything we do.
So without further ado… here are the items Best French Forever selected for La Box Spring Edition.
“Volage” Decor Item by Monochromic
The swallow (hirondelle in French), messenger of Spring, embodies the eternal renewal of life. It is a symbol of freedom, humility and purity.
I’ve had my eyes on the Monochromic creations for a few years now and when I launched Best French Forever, I knew I wanted to feature one of their creations in La Box one day.
Shaped with passion by Karine and made in Provence according to ancestral savoir-faire, the Monochromic creations are in ceramic, and painted exclusively with eco-friendly and Provençal paint brand Ressource. We chose their most popular (and bold) color, blue outremer, to bring a pop of color to your gallery wall or terrace.
“La Vie” Candle by Love in St Remy
If you’ve been to Provence, there is a great chance you’ve visited the lovely town of Saint Rémy. Built on one of the oldest archeological sites of Europe, it is well-known for its art (it inspired Van Gogh with no less than 150 paintings), its Wednesday market, and its charming boutiques.
Love in St Rémy is one of them, founded by Laetitia Labrune di Luca. I stumbled upon the shop on a warm day in August 2020, and instantly felt transported to the beauty of the Provence countryside and art de vivre.
The candle, LA VIE, is an ode to simple pleasures, the sweetness of life, and the arrival of spring. Its pear flower fragrance evokes the blooming orchards that brighten the Provençal countryside as winter finally releases its frozen grip.
Flower Confits by L’Epicurien
These two gustative gems are a delicious way to elevate your next cheese board, brunch or dessert! The lavender flavor is versatile and truly divine (my unbiased opinion!), and the rose petal confit brings a floral, sweet taste to a simple ice-cream or a cheese cracker.
L’Epicurien is a family owned business from the South of France that creates delicious, quality spreads (savory and sweet) with ingredients sourced locally. Their goal: to awaken the epicurean in each of us. Give it a try and tell me if it worked!
“Jolies Mains” Hand Set by Panier des Sens
Panier des Sens is one of our favorite cosmetic brands from Provence. Their natural and vegan formulas are designed and conceived in the South of France, always encouraging short circuits and local partnerships.
After falling in love with their Peonies Skincare travel set last summer, we are introducing you to their “Pretty Hands” Soothing Almond set: a hand cream and nail and cuticle oil duo, a perfect, much-needed beauty ritual as we say goodbye to winter and welcome in the new season.
One month of Cinessance
As a bonus, we partnered with Cinessance, the streaming platform of French films, to offer you one month of free access, available through the end of April. The app lets you enjoy some of the best French movies (old classics and more contemporary ones) that are hard to find online. It makes an excellent (and entertaining) way to immerse yourself into the French culture if a trip to France isn’t in the horizon for you.
Last chance!
There are still some boxes left if what you’re seeing is tempting! It is never a bad idea to treat yourself to a well deserved moment of self-care.
Now tell us…
Whether you’re a current customer or have been considering getting La Box and haven’t pulled the trigger yet, what would you like to see and receive in future boxes? We would LOVE to hear from you (meet us in the contact page, or on Instagram!).
