Discover the brands
Rose et Marius
After 15 years working in the luxury industry, Magali decided to create her own luxury aroma brand from Provence: in 2012, Rose et Marius was born. She was inspired by her childhood memories spent with her Grandmother, Rose, in Provence. Each Rose et Marius olfactory creation is the testimony of a memory. A love story with Provence to sublimate the Art of Living.
Some of you received the Fig Tree natural soap. A nod to the siestas under the hundred-year old fig tree on a hot summer afternoon in the South of France.
Some of you received the Rosé Wine natural soap. An invitation to follow a custom in Provence: sharing a glass of Provencal rosé wine with our friends as soon as we begin to feel the warmth of the sun!
Panier des Sens
I had to include a travel set, because we are all so ready to travel again and what better way to celebrate your next vacation than with some high-quality facial delights from Provence. Your skin will thank you! The kit includes three face treatments for a moisturizing and radiance care ritual: make-up removal, cleansing and moisturizing. Made with peony extract grown and harvested in France. (For those who know me, you know my love for peonies… Don’t these products smell like heaven?)
Clever Beauty
The brand name may not sound French, but this company is indeed 100% made in France, from the team to the ingredients!
In France, we like to do our manucure ourselves most often. So I couldn’t resist the opportunity to introduce you to the first natural and zero waste nail polish. It’s vegan, cruelty free and without endocrine disruptors. Plus its cap is innovative: with a single click, you can reach the bottom of the bottle and save up to 20% more product!
I chose the #6 Spontanée: a thin ray of sunshine on your nails that reveals pretty golden highlights.
Meet the artisans
La Tomette by Marie-Sophie Maury
For those who don’t know, la tomette is originally a key floor tile used in the Provençal architecture. Marie-Sophie Maury gave it a twist and made it a precious home decor item that I’m personally in love with! You can put it on a wall, use it as a coaster or even as a gentle essential oil diffuser. The applications are endless, and I can’t wait to hear what you do with it!
Now let’s talk about the stamp: do you recognize it? Yes, it’s the famous cigale (cicada). The signature sound of every summer in Provence, an endless chant to lull you to your afternoon sieste! You get it, la cigale is a symbol of the South of France. It comes in June and sings through August. I couldn’t send you a Provence Box without a nod to la cigale. So here you have it — brought to you by artisan (and artist) Marie-Sophie Maury. I invite you to read her interview with BFF to know more about her artistic approach and creative journey.
Linen Towel by Petits Points de Provence
In the center of the village of Ménerbes, there is this little shop, filled with beautiful textiles and other Provencal treasures. It’s called Petits Points de Provence. There you will meet Sylviane, the owner and artisan behind all the shop’s creations. The towel you received is handmade by her. It is 100% linen and will be great in your kitchen or for your outdoor cooking!
How to take care of your 100% linen towel:
Wash at maximum temperature of 40*C. To treat a stain, rinse your towel in lukewarm water, then apply dish soap and machine wash with your regular detergent. Do not scrub nor use stain remover.
To satisfy your tastebuds…
While we work hard to add food products into our future boxes, we didn't want to leave you with an unsatisfied palate. So we have included an easy and tasty recipe of a staple in every apéritif in Provence: la tapenade! It can be made with black or green olives (or both).
To complement the nibbles, we’d like to share a rosé trick that is so popular in the summer months: add a splash of grapefruit syrup! It will turn your average rosé into a tangy cocktail.
The apéritif (or casually called apéro) is pretty much sacred in the Provence culture. It is that happy hour you take to gather with friends or relatives to unwind before the actual dinner.
If you make these recipes and create a Provence moment at home, please share your pictures with us on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #BestFrenchForever.
Welcome to Provence
