BFF’s 2023 Roadmap
I’ve spent the last couple weeks with my family in Provence, reflecting on the past year and drawing my feuille de route (roadmap) for 2023.
Looking back, 2022 was a year of connections. I met so many incredible people, from fellow business owners to lovely customers with amazing stories. I had so many meaningful conversations and learned a ton. I received so much support from so many places.
While I didn’t reach all my business goals, it felt like I planted many seeds and got the soil ready to grow. Thus, my word for 2023, both personally and professionally, is FLOURISH (or in French: pousser, fleurir, prospérer).
Did you pick a word for this year? If so, what is it?
As we start this new year together, I'd like to share with you some important updates and what you can expect to see from us this year:
We are pausing our subscription box service. Though I love transporting you to my beloved Provence every season with new products and artisan stories, I’m finding it challenging to split my time between growing my client base (and the business overall) and creating unique, high quality experiences every quarter. Once BFF is more established, hopefully we can go back to the curation of seasonal surprise boxes!
We will focus on developing themed gift boxes. These will be available year round and showcasing some of our favorite products and brands. Our goal is to help you find the perfect gift for any life occasion, big or small.
We will also propose one-off, limited edition boxes — for Mother’s Day and graduation gifts for example. Stay tuned…
We will expand our shop with more and more unique gems from Provence, so you can create your own unique gifts for the special people in your life.
We will keep working with organizations and business owners to create custom gifts with a French touch for employees and clients. If you have contacts that could be interested, please send them my way!
Additionally, we are working on new offerings to help you experience Provence first hand via:
The creation of custom itineraries, with recommendations from Provence locals, and based on your interests and time of travel;
The launch of a membership-based online community of Francophiles, to practice French together and learn more about the culture through the eyes and stories of French natives.
If you’re curious to learn more about these two added services, simply email us “oui” and I’ll personally get in touch with more details.
I wish you a fantastic year, and I can’t wait to bring you more of my Provence, on the blog and at your doorstep!
Meilleurs voeux,
Cynthia
