Reveal: La Box Holiday Edition
Our last box of the year has shipped and we couldn’t be more excited with this edition! “Belles pour les Fêtes” was curated with you in mind and the idea of making you feel ready and beautiful for the holidays. Let’s take a look inside!
Luxurious Solid Perfume by Rose et Marius
Those who’ve followed Best French Forever for a while know our love for the luxury brand Rose et Marius. The founder, Magali, has created elevated products that transport you to Provence via the scents (each one of them is a memory from her childhood til today) and the design of the packaging (a hint to the traditional floor tiles in her grandma’s Provençal bastide).
The Concrète solid perfume is no exception: it’s a gorgeous piece of haute craftsmanship with its zamac box, perfect to slip in your purse and awaken your senses throughout the day. We selected two scents and added them in your box at random:
A Morning at the Orangerie
As described on the Rose et Marius website: ”In Provence in the light of a winter morning. In the century-old earthen pots, the delicate white fleurs, the groves of yuzu and tangerine trees laden with colorful fruit bloom and embalm the air with an unexpected freshness. And mingling with the vivacity of citrus zest, the delicacy of orange fleurs."
A Stroll under the Oratory
As described on the Rose et Marius website: “An original eau parfumée that blends the intoxication of incense with the sweetness of sandalwood bark and the golden fleurs of mimosa.”
The perfume can be applied with your fingertips, on the pulse points where the body gives off the most heat: the inside of the wrists, the base of the neck, the hollow of the neckline.
Delicate Silk and Pearl Bracelet by Jour de Mistral
I’ve been following Jour de Mistral for a few years and it was such a joy and honor when Mélanie, the founder, agreed to work with us for this Holiday Edition. We are excited to introduce you to the Florette collection, beautiful bracelets made of silk ribbon and pearl whose colors evoke the landscapes and nature of Provence. Our favorite: calisson (mustard), bastide (pastel coral) and lavande (purple). Their design is soft and elegant and will dress up any outfit!
You can discover Mélanie’s brand and entrepreneurial journey in our interview here. So inspiring!

Nougat noir by Maison Jonquier 1885
Based in Ollioules (along the Mediterranean coast, East of Marseille), Maison Jonquier is a family-owned company perpetuating century-old savoir-faire. The recipe for the Nougat Jonquier was first elaborated in the 1860’s, out of curiosity and a love for sweet treats, when Louis Jonquier decided with a pharmacist friend to experiment with honey and almond in a mortar…
The secret of the Jonquier lies in the quality of honey and almonds of the year as well as the rigour of its artisanal manufacturing process in copper cauldrons, all dating back to the creation of the factory.
The nougat is part of the Provençal Christmas tradition of the 13 Desserts which are served on the table during Christmas’ Eve and remain there for three days, for the pleasure of the guests!
Because winter is here and it can get rough for the skin, we wanted to gift one of our favorite hand creams, by one of our favorite brands. Each product by Rose et Marius delivers a concentrate of Provençal excellence, designed to transform routine habits into moments of enchantment. The fresh mint hand cream is one of them, and will take you on an exceptional olfactory journey through Provence! It is enriched with vitamin E, organic shea butter oil, virgin jojoba and aloe vera oil, as well as the inescapable poppy oil, to provide long-lasting hydration for your hands. Stay warm my friends!
The Plus: An Exclusive Styling Workshop
Charline Z of Sustainable Wardrobe Stylist gave us a fantastic class on how to create a holiday capsule wardrobe. During the workshop, she helped us determine our looks, colors, textures and accessories for this festive season (and beyond). We were so honored to have her share her wealth of knowledge and to get direct feedback from her on our holiday outfits. Merci Charline ! You can follow her on Instagram or get in touch with her via email.
